The Dream is a grayscale Magicant-like location that Alinivar wakes up in after being killed by Giegue during Chapter 1. It's implied to be some kind of afterlife or purgatory.
Story[]
A mysterious voice speaks to Alinivar here, saying that it is not his time to be dead yet. This voice then makes a deal with Alinivar: the mook will be given his life back, and in exchange he must set out on a quest to stop Giegue from acquiring the voice's physical form.
Alinivar is informed that in the future all is devastation because Giegue became a powerful world-destroying force called Giygas after obtaining the voice's physical form. The voice also explains that there are three allies to help the mook on his quest, all of whom will be looking for Alinivar as he looks for them.
The mysterious voice grants Alinivar the power to learn PSI, and he instantly realizes PK Freeze α and PSI Lifeup α. The final wisdom the voice bestows is that to succeed, above all three things are of the utmost importance: wisdom, courage, and friendship.
Shortly after all this, Alinivar wakes up (alive this time) near a hotel just west of Satralia.

- If Alinivar declines the voice's offer, the it informs him that he will rot in this place until he agrees then sends him back to the spot he woke up here in.
- The voice never reveals its identity directly, even though it is highly implied that said voice is the Apple Of Enlightenment.
- The area heavily resembles an area in Ness' Magicant in Earthbound.
